About
Grass-fed beef farm on a hill in Hardwick, in central Massachusetts, selling directly to families and restaurants in central and western Massachusetts. The 280-acre farm (70 acres of pasture, 60 of hay and the rest forest) was first settled in the 1730s, with a farmhouse dating to 1752 and an 1896 chestnut-beam barn from its days as a leading local dairy. Most of the land is now held in permanent conservation restrictions by The Trustees of Reservations and the East Quabbin Land Trust. Beef is processed at Adams Farm in Athol.
