The Acre & Plate directory has grown to 61 ranches across the U.S. selling beef from named herds: Fullblood Wagyu, Akaushi, heritage breeds, and grass-fed family ranches. Each ranch is verified from its public website.
One new verified ranch since the 60 milestone: Shipley Farms Signature Beef, a fifth-generation family farm in Vilas, North Carolina, farming since 1872 (pasture-raised Hereford & Angus cattle on mountain pastures in the Southern Appalachians, supplemented with a balanced, vegetable-based feed; no added hormones; never given antibiotics except when medically necessary; dry-aged in-house). W.E. Shipley brought the first registered Hereford bull to North Carolina in 1897. It ships frozen nationwide, with free pickup at the farm store in Vilas. It is the first North Carolina listing in the directory.
Same rule as always: not grocery-store marketing, just working ranches selling direct to people who care where dinner came from. Browse by breed and state at acreandplate.com/listings. Ranch partners who want premium placement can see Featured Ranch at acreandplate.com/featured (one-pager: PDF).
